[Handling of Collected Log Information]

1. General Provisions
Blogwatcher, Inc. (the “Company,” “we,” or “us”) properly collects smartphone log information (see “② Items of Collected Information” under “3. Handling” for the scope of information included in “log information”) from individuals (“you” or the “User”) who install and use the smartphone app containing the module the Company provides (the “Company Module”). These Guidelines establish specific rules on the standards of handling and the operation of collected log information. We will treat the collected information as a valuable asset, and will properly handle it in accordance with these Guidelines. The Company appoints a manager to protect the collected information and perform checks that it is being used properly in accordance with these Guidelines. We continually rectify issues we discover.
The Company will maintain the accuracy of the collected information. It will also maintain technical safety measures so that Users are not inconvenienced by difficulties, such as the release of the collected information outside the Company without the Company's recognition or illegal alterations thereto.

2. Applicable Scope
These Guidelines apply whenever a User uses a smartphone app that contains the Company Module.

3. Handling
We will handle collected log information based on the following items.
① Collection of facts
The Company collects log information so that providers of the smartphone app that contains the Company Module (“App Provider”) can provide Users with products and services and information thereof that are aligned with Users’ hobbies and interests, and for the purposes set forth in “⑦ Purpose of Use” under “3. Handling.”
② Items of collected information
The Company will collect the following log information whenever Users use the smartphone app that contains the Company Module. However, information that can be used to identify individual users (names, email addresses, credit card information, and the like) is not included in the log information that the Company collects.
i. User information
・ Identification symbols allotted by us to each user/device
・ Gender, date of birth, and hobby category that is entered on the profile management page of the smartphone app
・ User/device location information
ii. Device information
・ Device model information (brand name/model name)
・ Device OS version
iii. Beacons
・The beacon identification symbol in the case that a beacon managed by the Company is detected
・Radio wave strength of the beacon and the time of detection
③ Method of collection
The log information saved on a User’s smartphone is provided to the Company via the Company Module and saved to the Company’s servers.
④ Fact of disclosures to third parties
The Company may disclose the collected log information to a third party.
⑤ Scope of companies receiving disclosures
App Providers, sponsor companies in the Company’s publicity business, joint ventures, and other companies approved for disclosures based on our screening criteria
⑥ Items of information to be disclosed
The Company will disclose the following log information that is collected whenever Users use the smartphone app that contains the Company Module. However, information that can be used to identify individual users (names, email addresses, credit card information, and the like) is not included in such disclosed information.
i. User information
・ Identification symbols allotted by us to each user/device
・ Gender, date of birth, and hobby category that is entered on the profile management page of the smartphone app
・ User/device location information
ii. Device information
・ Device model information (brand name/model name)
・ Device OS version
iii. Beacons
・ The beacon identification symbol in the case that a beacon managed by the Company is detected
・ Radio wave strength of the beacon and the time of detection
⑦ Purpose of use
The Company uses the collected log information for the following purposes.
・ To provide and operate the Company Module
・ To compile and analyze collected log information attributes and prepare statistical materials (“statistical materials” refers to materials that are processed so that they cannot be used to identify or specify an individual, and are used or handled to develop new services, improve the Company Module, or carry out other tasks. Further, statistical materials may be provided to joint ventures that jointly provide the Company Module).
・ To present information on sponsor or joint venture services in the Company’s public relations work (a “joint venture” refers to a joint venture company, affiliated company, or subsidiary that jointly provides the Company Module).
・ To make smartphone apps contained in the Company Module more convenient for Users, such as through individual User-targeted customizations.
・ To allow Users to read, change, or delete their own registration information, or to see their user status.
・ To provide collected log information to the minimum extent required for the provision of the Company Module to the joint venture when there is a joint venture and Users use a smartphone app that contains the Company Module that is jointly provided.
・ To provide the collected log information as marketing data to companies or organizations from which we have received a request, and to use it to plan or develop new Internet services or improve existing ones.
⑧ Storage period
When save the usage information to the outside of the server in the statistical processing format that save for 2 years.
⑨ Means of user participation
If Users do not wish for the Company to collect their information, they may stop the provision thereof to the Company from the Settings page of the smartphone app that contains the Company Module.
⑩ Clear statement of use of information that cannot be used to specify an individual
The log information that we collect does not include any information that can be used to identify an individual whatsoever (name, email address, credit card information, and the like), and it does not fall under personal information as provided under the Personal Information Protection Act because it cannot be used to specify Users.

4. Uninstalling the App
When you uninstall a smartphone app that contains the Company Module, the included Company Module will also be deleted from your smartphone, so from that point forward, no log information will be provided to us via the Company Module
